Dr Yam undertook medical training at the University of Melbourne and completed her basic physician training at St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne. She then undertook geriatric and general medicine training at Western Health and the Royal Melbourne Hospital. She has a broad range of clinical experience having worked in acute aged care, rehabilitation, community aged care, palliative care and dementia management units. Dr Yam is also currently working as a consultant geriatrician at Grampians Health.
Dr Yam is passionate about providing individualised and continuing care to older patients living in residential aged care facilities. Outside of work, she enjoys reformer pilates, hiking and cryptic crosswords.
