Certified laughter yoga teachers, Estelle and Jim Brodeur, run through a series of laughter yoga exercises. Why laughter yoga? Estelle explains, “When we laugh in a group with good eye contact, and a sense of child-like playfulness, then laughter becomes real and contagious. Science tells us that our bodies and brains don’t know the difference between real or fake laughter and we reap the same physical and psychological benefits, which are: increased neurotransmitters, decreased blood pressure and increased social connection.
